About Nat20 Games

Our Story

Nat20 Games officially opened its doors in May of 2022, but our story started almost three decades earlier.

In 1995, two sixth graders from Crossville, Tennessee — Brett Farris and Franklin Hajny — became friends over a trading card game called Marvel OverPower.

That friendship grew right alongside a shared love of competition, strategy, and gaming. Over the years, we played and competed across a wide range of games, including Chess, Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Disney Lorcana, Riftbound, Warhammer, and plenty of others along the way.

Gaming was never just a hobby for us. It was where friendships were formed, rivalries were built, lessons were learned, and communities came together.

There was just one problem: growing up in Crossville, we often had to leave town to experience the kind of friendly local game store atmosphere we loved.

Eventually, we decided to change that.

The Store We Wished We Had

When we opened Nat20 Games, the goal was simple: create the kind of game store we would have wanted to walk into when we were kids.

A place where people could sit down across a table, roll some dice, shuffle a deck, paint an army, compete in a tournament, or simply spend an afternoon around people who enjoy the same things they do.

We wanted Nat20 to feel welcoming whether you’re playing your very first game or you’ve spent decades competing.

Because we’ve been on both sides of that table.

We’ve been the new players learning the rules. We’ve been the competitive players chasing wins. We’ve opened packs, built decks, painted miniatures, tested strategies, traveled for events, and spent more hours than we’d probably care to admit talking about games.

Nat20 Games wasn’t created by people who simply saw an opportunity to sell gaming products.

It was created by gamers.

Built in Crossville, for Crossville

Both of us were born and raised here, and Crossville has always been home.

That’s why opening Nat20 Games wasn’t just about starting a business. It was about building something for the community we grew up in.

Today, you’ll find us on historic Main Street in Downtown Crossville, serving local players, collectors, families, hobbyists, and competitors from across the Upper Cumberland and beyond.

Our goal is to give today’s players something we didn’t always have growing up: a gaming community right here at home.

No long drive required.

More Than a Game Store

Nat20 Games is a place to compete, but it’s also a place to belong.

You’ll find trading card games, tabletop games, miniatures, hobby products, organized play, tournaments, and a constantly changing selection of singles and sealed products.

But the products have never been the most important part.

The people are.

Some customers walk through our doors looking for a specific card.

Others are looking for a tournament.

Some are looking for a new game.

And some are simply looking for their people.

We want Nat20 Games to be a place where all of them can find what they’re looking for.

The Next Roll

Nearly thirty years after Marvel OverPower first brought us together, we’re still doing what we’ve always done — playing games, competing, debating strategies, and sharing the hobby with the people around us.

The difference is that now we get to provide the place where those memories happen for someone else.

Maybe it’s a kid opening their first Pokémon pack.

Maybe it’s a player sitting down for their first Magic tournament.

Maybe it’s a Warhammer player rolling the dice on the final turn of a close game.

Or maybe it’s two sixth graders meeting across a table and starting a friendship that lasts the next thirty years.

We’ve seen where that can lead.

Welcome to Nat20 Games.
